Uji Efektivitas Pertumbuhan Rambut Sediaan Emulsi Kombinasi Ekstrak Etanol Daun Mangkokan (Polyscia Scutellaria) dan Daun Pandan Wangi (Pandanus Amaryllifolius Roxb), Pada Kelinci Jantan (Oryctolagus Cuniculus)

Abstract

Hair loss is a disorder or disorder in which hair is detached from the scalp or body skin so that it interferes with the various biological functions of the hair on the body (Stephani et al., 2018). The purpose of this study was to determine the combination of the ethanol extract of mangkokan leaf and pandan wangi leaf emulsion at a concentration ratio of 50:50, 70:30, 80:20 and to determine the optimal concentration of the combination of the ethanol extract of mangkokan leaves and pandan wangi leaves which has effectiveness as hair grower on the back of male rabbits.The method used in this research is the Tanaka method. This study made 3 sample formulas with the active ingredient combination of ethanol extract of mangkokan leaves and fragrant pandanus leaves with a concentration ratio of 50:50, 70:30, 80:20, a concentration of 0% without additives (negative cont rol), and a positive control (hair growth preparations. which contains minoxidil 2%) with base emulsion control. The treatments were carried out every day with an application volume of 1 ml for each concentration for 14 days. Based on the results obtained, it shows that in group I the mean value of positive control and formula II is the same, namely 1.99 mm. This shows that formula II has the same effectiveness as positive control. In group II, the mean value of positive control and formula II is the same, namely 1.98 mm. This shows that formula II has the same effectiveness as positive control. Meanwhile, in group III, the mean value of positive control and formula II was the same, namely 1.96 mm.
