Abstract

Hypertension is a disease characterized by an increase in systolic blood of more than 140 mmHg and a diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg on two measurements with an interval of five minutes in a state of adequate rest / calm This study aims to determine the antihypertensive use of hospitalized patients at Kupang Level III Bhayangkara Hospital, Drs Titus Ully in 2018 based on the type of antihypertensive and the quantity of its use calculated by the ATC / DDD method. Data on antihypertensive use taken are in the form of groups and names of antihypertensive agents, dosage forms, dosage strength, number of uses. The results of antihypertensive use were calculated as Defined Daily Dose (DDD) per 100 days of patients and based on DU criteria of 90%. The results of this study are based on quantitative analysis with ATC / DDD method and 90% DU. It is known that antihypertensive used by hypertensive patients in hospitalized patients at Kupang Level III Bhayangkara Hospital, Drs Titus Ully in 2018 are CCB, ACEi, ARB, and Beta groups. blocker, α2 adrenergic agonist and the most widely used antihypertensive quantity is the CCB group, Amlodipine (76.42%). Antihypertension used in hospitalized patients at Kupang Level III Bhayangkara Hospital, Drs Titus Ully in 2018 is in accordance with the JNC VIII guidelines, National Formulary and DOEN.
