CHEMICAL TEST OF METABOLITE COMPOUNDS ON Vernonia amygdalina D. EXTRACT

Abstract

African leaves (Vernonia amygdalina D), is one of the natural ingredients used as ingredients of medicine. Several studies have shown that the effect of African leaf water extract dose of 200 mg / kb bb is effective for controlling blood lipids in hyperlipidemic rabbits and the effects of African leaf methanol extract can decrease lipids and allow as potential natural products to treat hyperlipidemia. This study aims to identify the content of phytochemical compounds in African leaf extract and to analyze the physical chemical properties of leaf extract. This research is a type of experimental research laboratory design. The result of this research is mass of African african leaf extract that is 0,49 gram / ml, extract able to dissolve in polar and semi polar solvent with boiling point 900C.
